HOW WE WORK

Often times, the last thing being considered in a treatment plan is where a person will stay during treatment and where family and caregivers will stay. For many, IMD Guest House is the answer. IMD Guest House is the only facility in Chicago to provide low cost temporary lodging for patients of any age and patients receiving any type of medical treatment.

COMFORT TAKES COMMUNITY

The Comfort Fund provides financial assistance to qualified guests for a nightly rate and supports veterans receiving treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD. Just a $60 donation to the Comfort Fund helps support a patient who is seeking treatment. 100% of your gift goes to the Comfort Fund. On a nightly basis, over 70% of nights qualifiy for financial assistance.

TOGETHER WE DO THIS

Through the generosity of indivdual donations, and with the philanthropic support of our hospital partners and program partners, we provide the comforts of home and the care of community for patients, veterans, and their families and caregivers, keeping loved ones close during a time of crisis and chaos.

What We Do

IMD Guest House provides temporary lodging through fully-furnished one-bedroom apartments for the families of inpatients and outpatients and their caregivers receiving treatment at our legacy hospital partners, cancer patients receiving treatment at any Chicago area hospital; and veterans in a specialized program for PTSD. Fostering a community where guests can rest comfortably with convenient access to hospitals, treatment and resources that offer patients and their families a home away from home during treatment.

100% of contributions support the Comfort Fund

Guests with limited funds resources for the $65 nightly rate, are eligible to apply for financial assistance through the Comfort Fund. With donor, partner and program support, no qualified guest is turned away for financial reasons. This would not be possible without the kindness of donors and partners. Thank you for supporting our mission of providing services regardless of a guest’s ability to pay.
